Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first virtual show. Still stuck? The event organizer's contact details are on each event page.

What is a virtual horse show?
It works like a regular show, except you ride at home. You register for classes, film your ride during the show window, and upload the video. Real judges score every entry against discipline rubrics, and placings are published online.
Who can enter?
Eligibility is set per event. Most shows welcome all riders and horses, all levels, all disciplines. Check the event page for any divisions or restrictions before you enter.
What equipment do I need to film?
A phone is enough. Film in landscape with the whole horse and rider in frame, in one continuous unedited clip. See the filming guide for camera placement and lighting tips.
How much does it cost to enter?
Each event page lists its entry fee. Some shows price per class, and some events are free. You pay securely online when you register; there are no hauling, stabling, or office fees.
How is my ride judged?
Real judges score every entry using structured, discipline-specific rubrics, and leave written feedback. Judges use AI-assisted review tools to work efficiently, always under human judge oversight: a judge reviews and signs off on every scorecard.
When and where do I see results?
Results are published class by class once judges finalize their scorecards. Find them on the Results page and in your dashboard, along with your full scorecard and feedback.
How does the raffle work?
Some shows include a sponsor raffle. Where offered, every completed class entry automatically earns you raffle entries. No tickets to buy and no extra steps. Each event page lists the prize, the drawing date, and a link to the official rules.
What is recruit-a-friend?
You get a personal referral link in your dashboard. When a friend signs up through it and completes their first entry, you earn bonus raffle entries on shows that offer them.
Can I scratch or get a refund?
Each event sets its own cancellation and refund policy, shown at registration. If your plans change, cancel from your dashboard before the deadline listed on the event page.
What happens if my video has a problem?
If your upload fails or the video doesn’t meet the filming requirements, you can replace it any time before the entry deadline. If something goes wrong after the deadline, contact the organizer through your dashboard as soon as possible.
